The Library, Norman, Oklahoma

It is hot as hell on the plains but otherwise perfect on the first day of college football in Norman, Oklahoma.  I will admit to a bit of ecstasy as I sit here on a barstool, sipping a local COOP F5 IPA, listening to Etta James, relishing in the slight attention of a pretty bar maid wearing a crimson sun dress (school colors, my alma mater).

I bought an old chrome Chevrolet hubcap from a place downtown, which I will hang in the garage above my little flat black Harley.  The lady who sold it to me was about my age and beautiful even though she had closely cropped hair from chemotherapy.  She asked if I was here for the football game to which I said "hell no!".   She laughed and then said, "thank gawd!".
